Salem’s Lot Trailer

It appears that the era of adapting every single Stephen King book is still upon us. The trailer for the latest adaptation of Salem’s Lot premiering on October 3rd on [HBO] Max. The trailer looks fine, it reminds me of a much better adaptation of the story, Midnight Mass. Which, if you haven’t seen please do yourself the favor.

It stars Lewis Pullman (yes Bill Pullman’s son), Alfre Woodard, Makenzie Leigh, Bill Camp, Pilou Asbæk, and William Sadler, the plot revolves around Pullman’s character returning to his hometown and discovering it’s infested with vampires. The trailer looks like a bog standard adaptation of King’s book, while trying to stay separate from the classic 1979 version. I welcome when we no longer get a King adaptation every year but with the sheer quantity of his works, that’s not happening anytime soon.
