Cinemancy: Paprika

  • Central Cinema 1411 21st Avenue Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

Cinemancy Cinema Club is a monthly film series for cinema lovers, the cinema curious, and those looking to watch movies with friends (new and old)! Are you tired of scrolling for an hour only to end up watching nothing? Do you love movies and want to find others who can talk endlessly about them?

Come join Cinemancy! Each month, a new movie is carefully selected and we gather to discuss its themes, characters, plot, and symbolism. We meet each 4th Wednesday at Central Cinema.

March's film: Paprika

Dr. Atsuko Chiba helps create the DC Mini, a device that can help therapists view the dreams of their patients. She also moonlights as a dream detective named Paprika, helping patients in need by illegally using the device. When the DC Mini is stolen, she attempts to hunt down the culprit as the line between the dream world and real world becomes dangerously thin.

In Japanese with English subtitles.
